Hi Guys,

Good Fly-In to Mohave (KMHV) on Sunday, Dec 12.

Twelve people in six planes made it to KMHV. Flying out of MYF were Bret,
Jeff & Jerry in a Warrior; flying from SDM was Dennis in a Tomahawk; and
flying from SEE were Robert, Dick & Don in a Sky master; Mike in a Lancer;
Bert & Russ in a 210 and Jim & me in a 172.

At 0800 with a dense fog with 1/4 mile vis, 1-200' ceilings and tops around
15-2000'. Some pilots waited for the vis and ceiling to get a better before
filing IFR or waited for VFR. Once airborne and on top, we could see the
coast still had a solid overcast, but besides that, the weather was clear
all the way to KMHV with a good tailwinds from the southwest. Of course we
paid for the tailwinds and bucked headwinds coming back. At KMHV it was
severe clear with light winds.

Robert got to KMHV first and saved a table with seats for everyone at the
Voyager restaurant. We all managed to met there within 1-1/2 hours of each
other. The food was good, the service was good and the waitress was very
good.

As usual we had a good time and enjoyed lots of hangar flying over
breakfast. Pictures were taken and to get a "high angle" picture of everyone
at the table, someone convinced the pretty young waitress stand up on a
chair and get pictures. She got our attention.
Pictures will be posted on http://tonytex.com/ or
http://www.cyberthought.com/tonytex/ as soon as our webmaster, Chris
Claborne, receives them.

One item we hangar flew about was our next Fly-In. It will be on Sun, Jan 16
and we're flying to Chino Airport (CNO). Flo's restaurant at CNO has a
reputation being a real diet buster with a huge platter of delicious
biscuits and gravy. More info on CNO and Planes' of Fame, etc in an email
about a week before we depart for CNO.

Once again, another nice Fly-In for a $100 Hamburger with a good bunch of
guys with much camaraderie.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,

Tony Tex
