Hi Guys,

We had good Fly-In to Brackett on Sun, Sep 24. Seven planes and thirteen
people made this one.

Flying out of Gillespie Field: Mike Gretton in his Lancair and in a 172
were Jeff Cary, Ryan Cary & Jerry Jackson.

From Montgomery: Jeff Picardi & Chris Braun in a 172, Chris Claborne in a
177RG, Chris Maier & Mike Maier in a 172RG, Gary Ghio & Gary Kauffman in a
turbo Arrow, and Jim Newport & Tony Tex in a Skymaster.

We couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather Buddha really smiled
upon us for this Fly-In. It was clear with a high 10K scattered clouds, the
air was smooth and when we arrived at Brackett (POC), it was usually CLEAR
there.

Five planes arrived at Brackett about the same time and two came in a half
hour later. Maybe they has slower planes or had to wait for a passengers :)
But in the end we all sat pretty much together outside in the patio
overlooking the runway where we could hear good airplane noise.

We did our usual hangar flying chatter over breakfast and frustrated the
poor waitress by asking for separate checks. In between the chatter, we had
time to decide our next Fly-In will be to Big Bear (L35) on Oct 22 to Big
Bear.

Good, fun Fly-In with lots of camaraderie.

For those of you taking pictures, send them in to our webmaster, Chris
Claborne, so he can update our website.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,

Tony Tex
