Hi Everyone,

Seven people in three planes made the Flabob Fly-In on Sun, Oct 18th.
Guess the economy has strained the flying. However, some guys went to
Catalina for some sort of gathering in the city of Avalon. Catalina even
waivered the $20 landing fee.

Flying out of MYF was Gary Ghio & Gary Kauffman in a 182. And out of SEE
was Robert Werve, Morton Oz & Denny Walker in a C337. Also out of SEE in a
172 was Jerry Jackson & Tony Tex.

The two Garys were out doing a little practice airwork and got to RIR a
little late... about the time we were leaving RIR.

As for weather, you couldn't ask for a better flying day. CAVU and severe
clear in silk smooth air. It was great.

Next Fly-In will be either to Apple Valley or Santa Paula. Probably the
latter because I heard Leonard's restaurant at APV is closed and their phone
number is disconnected.

Anyway, next Fly-In will be on Sun, Nov 15th. I'll info you on which
airport we'll go to once I confirm APV's restaurant is closed.

 The alternate will be Corona.

My cell phone (619-997-4858) will be on until lift-off about 0845.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,

Tony Tex
